Does this website offer immediate AC service?
No. Its Baton Rouge call line is being set up. This page cannot promise a connected call, provider availability, an arrival time or round-the-clock service. If someone is in immediate danger, leave the area and call 911. Do not touch damaged electrical equipment or attempt a repair yourself.
What can you tell an independent provider?
Once a line is active, describe whether the AC stopped running, produces little cooling or affects some rooms more than others. Mention when the problem began and whether it followed a storm or outage, without diagnosing storm damage. ENERGY STAR notes that uneven temperatures may relate to equipment, ducts or insulation. A provider must decide what examination is appropriate.
What if the home feels humid as well as hot?
Tell the provider about the conditions. ENERGY STAR links poor airflow and duct problems with comfort and excessive dampness. Baton Rouge heat and humidity do not establish the cause of a fault in a particular home. Ask for an assessment of the existing unit before deciding between repair and replacement.
What should you verify before hiring?
Ask for the provider's business identity, applicable license or registration and insurance. Use the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors search and agree directly with the provider on any work.
