Is this a local HVAC company?
No. It is a free referral website for homeowners, not a contractor, office or repair crew. Independent providers decide whether to take work. Read About.
Can I call an active referral line now?
No. Our Baton Rouge call line is being set up. The placeholder number cannot connect a call and this site promises no response time.
What AC work can I ask about?
An AC cleaning, repair or replacement concern is within the planned scope. Tell the provider what the system does; do not diagnose a component or attempt an electrical repair.
Are furnace inquiries covered?
Yes, furnace cleaning, repair or replacement falls within the planned referral scope. Read furnace repair if an existing unit is failing.
Is maintenance the same as repair?
No. Maintenance is a check of operation; repair concerns an identified fault. ENERGY STAR lists professional pre-season checks such as controls, condensate drainage and coils. See AC maintenance.
Must an older AC be replaced?
No. ENERGY STAR says age and frequent repairs are reasons to discuss replacement with a contractor, not a diagnosis for an individual system. See AC replacement.
Does a listed ZIP guarantee an appointment?
No. The 19 inquiry ZIPs are not address-level provider commitments. A provider decides its own coverage and availability.
How do I check a provider's credentials?
Ask for its business name, applicable license or registration and insurance, then check the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors search yourself.
What if AC stops during a storm?
Do not touch damaged electrical equipment. In an immediate danger, leave and call 911. A provider must assess whether the equipment was damaged; a storm or outage alone is not a diagnosis.
Is emergency service available around the clock?
No such service is promised. The call line is still being set up; emergency AC repair explains the safety and referral limits.
